Tighnabruaich is known as the home of the historic Kyles Athletic Shinty club and a renowned sailing school. The views from the nearby Kyles of Bute Golf Club must be amongst the best in Scotland. Also nearby is the Portavadie Marina and Spa and the beach at Ostel Bay is considered by many to be one of the best beaches in Scotland.

With great sailing, walking, cycling, golf and other great outdoor pursuits there is always lots to do. Popular day trips include Inverary and the Inverary Jail, Tarbert and Rothesay with the wonderful Mount Stuart stately home and gardens.

In the village there are a number of great dining and drinking options and further afield there are great options in Colintraive, Portavadie and Otter Ferry. We are also blessed by lots of local produce of food and drink.
